Sydney Willis, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Areas of Speciality include adults, adolescents, and children (through play therapy) and supporting LGBTQ+ clients experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

Sydney has known since she was quite young that her purpose in life was to assist others. She feels so very fortunate that she is able to fulfill this purpose as a psychotherapist with Center for the Healing Arts.

Sydney embraces the belief that every individual is deserving of love, kindness, and compassion, and feels incredibly honored to be part of her client’s healing journey to happiness. Sydney deeply believes that for her clients to progress quickly, they require a safe, compassionate space to express themselves freely and authentically without fear of criticism or judgment. Sydney’s goals are always to make sure that each and every client feels seen, heard, and honored.

Sydney’s areas of psychotherapy specialty are adults, adolescents, and children (through play therapy) and the LGBTQ+ community who experience anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma, including eating disorders and spiritual trauma/abuse. Where appropriate, Sydney integrates elements of the expressive arts for adults, as well as children, during psychotherapy sessions to explore the unconscious challenges that might be interfering in her clients’ lives. She always feels honored to be part of the therapeutic process as her clients become their truest, highest, happiest, balanced, and most authentic selves.

Naturally, Sydney practices self-care with art as well. She deeply enjoys painting and views artistic expression for herself as a means of meditation and relaxation.

Sydney received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Rollins College and her Master's in Clinical Social Work degree from Tulane University.
